    Not very well written.

Great novel. Didn't expect the ending. "Nice" to know our political future is as corrupt as our current political circus

For those readers who enjoy a complex political mystery suspense thriller, this novel is an excellent choice. Author Larry Spinrad has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into creating this exciting, fast-paced novel. In the year 2039, a one party system has come into being. The electoral college has been done away with and presidents are elected by popular vote. President Harrington has introduced legislation to amend the Constitution so that people not born in the United States can run for the oval office. The novel begins with the Justices of the Supreme Court discussing and debating this issue. Justice Bernard and his wife are kidnapped by “Wolf” who is hired by “Viper.” Since Bernard would be considered the swing vote, Wolf murders both him and his wife. Wolf believes he has destroyed all forensic evidence that would lead to him. It is up to the FBI to delve into this case and prove him wrong. But this is an oversimplification of a much more complicated, complex plot with many interesting characters and issues that involve the United States as well as the world. This is a new novel that is worth reading on many levels. It is thought-provoking as well as an intriguing thriller.

Clunky dialogue, seemingly unedited novel. Tortuous. To the author: Your idea is a good one, but you need to find an agent and editor. I had to stop about 18-20% of the way in.
