This is a very precise, detailed description of the enlightened state as described by two people who experience it, the 3rd Karmapa and Lama Ole Nydahl. What an amazing, inspiring account! My paper back version is all marked and and worn because I've re-read it so much. It is a precious treasure beyond price.

It's the one of my basic books I have always with me. This text is given a long time ago by 3rd Karmapa. And today this really one of the fundamental texts of Kagyu highest teachings is commented by Ole Nydahl, student of Karmapa 16th. It is fresh and will inspire even total pessimist.

Lama Ole Nydahl manages to transmit the essence of the unsurpassable and sometimes complex tantric teachings of the vajrayana schools of Buddhism in a clear concise way our contemporary western minds can benefit from. Thank you Lama Ole Nydahl!

Read it, and you will take it out of your shelf again and again. If you want a sound basis for your understanding of this amazing text read The Way Things Are from the same author.
